Itinerary
· A scenic
and varied circuit trek through the beautiful high hills south of the Everest
region.
· A welcome by
your host / guide upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport.
· Two nights
accommodation with breakfast at a comfortable lodge close to the tourist Mecca
of Thamel.
· A guided tour
of the old city and the famous Pashupatinath temple.
· A flight to a
small airstrip within an hour of Kathmandu to begin your trek.
· Three days of
comfortable trekking to reach your village.
· A warm welcome
for the first foreign visitors as personal guests of the people in the village.
· The
opportunity, over the next few days, to participate in the daily activities of
the villagers’ lives.
· A special
ceremony in honour of your visit, with dancing, garlanding, speech making etc.
· Information
unlimited – from your guide/interpreter, who being a native of the area, will
tell you all you want to know regarding history, customs, language, natural
life etc.
· A day at a
colourful market where you’ll almost certainly be the only foreign visitors.
· Guided
scrambles to local high points for those suffering from cultural overload!
· Visits to each
of six homes to help install the electric lights, which you personally have
funded.
· A sad farewell
when you’ll receive gifts and more garlands!
· A two to three
day trek to a different airstrip for your return flight to Kathmandu.
· Two nights
with breakfasts at the same lodge in Kathmandu, with optional tour of
lesser-known areas of the city with local guide.
· Accommodation,
during trek, in private homes or tents if preferred.
